Here Together, oil on canvas, 18″ x 14″
I can’t stop seeing faces in the background of brushstrokes.
The more I see, the more appear.
I can’t stop seeing faces in the asphalt as I walk to my studio.
They’re in the weave of the rugs, the towels, the walls.
I especially like them in the rock faces surrounding my mountain home.
The more I see, the more appear.
What We Don’t Know, oil on canvas, 12″x12″

Love these, Cheyenne!! From spirals to faces!! Interesting transition!! These have a very eerie quality about them. Like dreams!

Many thanks, Ellen. It’s an odd way to approach painting for me to just go with the flow of faces. Not pretty, not beautiful, just what’s there to be seen.

Faces! I too find them an endlessly absorbing subject for canvas.
